It’s a new baby!

Like I told you in Thursday’s post, I have a new baby!

No, it’s not a human baby… It’s quieter and can live outside!

Brace yourselves for a gardening post… You’ve been warned!

Yes, it’s a tree! But the most interesting part is that it is my favorite tree: a Magnolia!
I even have this on my DayDreaming list!

It all started a few years ago when I fell in love with the Magnolia flower. I didn’t know what kind of flower it was until I looked it up and learnt its name.
When my mom and I walked past a tree nursery, last Tuesday, I really wanted to know if they had it in there. Turns out they did! Pink, yellow and white!
We ended up taking the white one home and she’s just so beautiful, I already know her flowers are going to be perfect! (do I seem like a mother hen, yet?)

Can you spot Teco’s tail in the back?

The next day we got it outside and started to think about the best place to open a hole. We ended up planting the tree right beside the Camellia bush that needs to be trimmed. For now, this one can protect the Magnolia from the wind and help her grow.

He’s always up to something!

And here it is the story of how I got a Magnolia tree.
I hope this wasn’t too boring! For your patience, here’s a picture of a cute baby otter:

Now, for the question of the day: Do you like flowers? What’s your favorite?

Follow me through these little buttons. You won’t regret it!

  1. Isn't it funny how things like trees, flowers, etc. can become our “babies”? I had a spider plant in fifth grade and I must have talked about that thing to no end to anyone who would listen!

By the way, your photos are incredible. You definitely have a great eye!!!
